I am a logical person, and so often the numbers are what will make my decision for me. So here are the numbers-
-
The average dive trip is going to land you somewhere warm, tropical, and distant. That generally means roughly $1,000 in airfare per person, which for a family of 4 adds up super quick.
Our monthly trips are usually within driving distance of Salt Lake, and our Quarterly trips average airfare of under $300 per person, making this a much more attainable option for not just a SCUBA trip, but a family trip as well.
-
Your average dive trip is right around $150 for a two tank dive, regardless of where in the world you end up.
If you take a 3 day local trip with us, using 2 tanks per day and assuming it cost $200 for the weekend, that puts you at just under $34 per dive. Add the unlimited air package, and with just one extra dive per day, you have already dropped the price to just $25 per dive, which is mighty close to just the cost of the air fills.
-
Many divers never get to take their spouse or kids on a trip, because lets face it, at $5,000 per person per trip, that family of four costs an awful lot for a spouse who would rather be tanning on the shore, or some kids who would rather be playing in the sand.
Traveling with Domestic Divers makes sense for a family, because we are a strongly family oriented company. With no fee for non-divers, and with surface interval friendly rentals such as paddle boards and beach toys, and picking local destinations that are family friendly as well, we can assure you, you will be hard pressed to find a more family friendly diving destination, anywhere in the world. All of our dives are geared to be family friendly, because family is the focus of it all.
-
At dive resorts, they treat you right, with special gear and knowledgeable staff to help make sure your gear is cared for each night to be ready each morning. Diving inland, you usually do not get so lucky.
With our support trailer ready to rinse and dry all of your gear, there is no need to worry about what room you are going to get, or how far it is from the car to your room. Just take care of everything right there by the water, and enjoy the rest of your day free from worries about your gear.

Lodging is often the most expensive part of any US based dive trip. With beachfront prices that easily pass $1,000 per night, a 3 day trip could cripple your average budget.
We deliberately do not offer lodging in any of our packages. While everyone in the group is welcome to coordinate for lodging that works best for them, we find it best to let your wallet decide where you will stay, as some may find it more worthwhile to stay a little further to save a fortune on lodging.
