Rockport Reservoir
Rockport is unique, in that it is one of the reservoirs in Utah that specifically allow spearfishing. Visibility can be lousy, but monitoring the weather and time of year will help immensely.
Location- Rockport Reservoir, roughly 40 minutes east of Salt Lake City
Water Conditions- Colder water, with 55-65 F being typical. Visibility varies greatly, but it is possible to get 20+ feet, and common to get 5-10.
Wildlife- brown trout, rainbow trout, smallmouth bass, and yellow perch.
Notes- Rockport Reservoir is in a state park, so the government will expect their cut.
Special Considerations- At 6000 feet ASL, elevation should be factored into your dive plan.
